Pink and girly!

Good morning everyone, here's a baby card I made yesterday for Annabelle Stamps sketch challenge.

I used the giraffe stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Wild About You' set and SU Pretty in Pink ink, the greeting is from the Papercrafts Clear Cling Stamps 'Baby' set.
Other supplies:
White Bazzil cardstock, Stampin' Up Pink Pirouette and Pretty in Pink cardstock.
Pink Kaiser rhinestones, Prima flowers.
Pink lace and pink satin ribbon from my stash.
Unidentified striped Designer Paper.
Cuttlebug 'Swiss Dots' embossing folder.

It looks like our lovely weather has come to an end, it's quite grey and cold today. I've been neglecting my crafting lately to enjoy the outdoors and get a little bit of gardening done while the weather has been so nice. Not looking forward to Winter coming!

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you are having a great day!

Whole Lotta Love!

I couldn't resist using that title for this card, LOL! Yeah.......I know I'm showing my age, but Led Zeppelin were one of the great rock bands of my generation and I love that song!

OK, onto my card, I used the sketch from this post from Annabelle Stamps Blog. I used a Kaisercraft stamp, I stamped it twice with Stampin' Up Purely Pomegranite ink and cut the hearts out from the 2nd image to layer on dimensionals over the first image. I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder to emboss a piece of SU Purely Pomegranite cardstock and cut one edge with a Fiskars border punch. I layered it over a piece of black cardstock and onto a white folded square card. Just added some pink rhinestones and black and white polka dot organza ribbon, nice and easy!

I think this card could be used for an Anniversary, Valentines Day or even Mother's Day.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Inkurable Stampers Cyberparty.

Last weekend was Inkurable Stampers 2nd birthday cyberparty. I spent the weekend away so missed all the chat, fun and games over there, but we had until Wednesday night to complete 3 challenges. I did manage to do all 3 challenges yesterday, yay!

The first challenge was a sketch challenge from a Pagemaps sketch. Since I didn't have a lot of time, I delved into my stash of painted backgrounds and home-made designer paper. I started with an olive coloured folded card, added a background piece of watercolour paper painted with a couple of green shades of Twinkling H2O's, I also pricked around the borders of this piece. I cut some Cuttlebug scalloped squares out of an orange Twinkling H2O's piece of watercoloured paper and some from some home-made designer paper - I randomly stamped some shadow stamps and nature images using different coloured inks over some white cardstock. I stamped the Heidi Grace word stamp onto the orange scallop and a Kaisercraft flower onto the other 2 scallops. I used a stamp from the Stampin' Up Pocket Silhouettes set for my main piece, stamped onto SU Old Olive cardstock and added a row of Kaisercraft rhinestones along the bottom.

The 2nd challenge was to create a stamped piece of art 2 x 4 inches. I made a little hanger for my project. I'm sorry I don't know who makes the stamp I used, I bought it off ebay as an unidentified unmounted stamp - if anyone knows who makes it please let me know! I started with a piece of white cardstock and sponged it with Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink, then I stamped the art doll image using black Versafine ink. I trimmed the image to 2 x 4 inches then sponged the edges with TH Tea Dye Distress Ink and TH Black Soot Distress Ink. I highlighted parts of the wings with a white Signo gel pen and also used it for the striped socks. Added 2 black eyelets at the top and threaded some red fibre through to hang it.

Edited: Kathi let me know that the Art Doll image is by Lost Coast Designs.....thanks Kathi!

The 3rd challenge was to use the spotlighting technique on your project. I started with SU Old Olive cardstock for my card base. My red background piece is similar to what I used for my anniversary card in my last post, using Tim Holtz Fired Brick Distress Ink and Tattered Angels Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist, but I also added some Tattered Angels Bronze Glimmer Mist to this one. I used a stamp from the Stampin' Up Oh so Lovely set for my main image and used Prismacolour Pencils and Gamsol Tech for the spotlighted circle. I used a Kelly Panacci border stamp on the top and bottom of the background piece and added some black and white organza polka dot ribbon and a black button tied with olive embroidery thread. The red background is adhered to black cardstock and then adhered to the Old Olive card.

Whew, that's it! Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day!

Anniversary Card

Hi everyone, would you believe that today is our 36th wedding anniversary! Where did all those years go, it certainly doesn't feel so long since we got married! The last 6 months since I was diagnosed with cancer has really made me realise how much my husband loves and cares about me. I've made him this card to show him how much I care about him too.

I've used the Inkurable Stampers April theme for my card, which is to use the colours Red, Black and White on your project.

My red background piece started off as a piece of white cardstock, I used Tim Holtz Fired Brick Distress Ink and Tattered Angels Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist to colour it. I stamped the Stamp-It Distressed Frame corner directly onto my background and also stamped a Kelly Panacci ornate border stamp near the bottom. I added a piece of black cardstock punched with a Martha Stewart border punch and placed a piece of red Stampin' Up taffeta ribbon over it. I stamped the words in TH Fired Brick ink and Versafine black then cut out with a Nestabilities Label 4 die, I then used more TH Fired Brick and TH Black Soot inks sponged around the edges. Adhered the greeting onto the background with dimensional dots, added a large black brad to the top right and some black Kaisercraft rhinestones along the bottom. I sponged the edges of the background piece with TH Black Soot ink, adhered the whole piece to some black cardstock, then onto a white card. I stamped the Stampin' Up heart using TH Fired Brick again onto white card, then cut it out and adhered to the card with dimensional dots.

I've shown a close-up to hopefully show the glimmer on the red background. Click on the photo for a closer look.

Thanks once again for stopping by, hope you like my card today!

Lilac bling card.

Where has the last week gone?? The days just seem to be flying by right now, I managed a little playtime today and made this card for Annabelle Stamps bling challenge using the sketch.

The papers are from Kaisercraft Lilac Avenue 6 x 6 pad, the background heart swirl stamp is from the same collection. The greeting stamp is by Stamp-It, also used Kaisercraft rhinestones, some lilac ribbon, Martha Stewart butterfly punch and Bazzil cardstock.

I'll be away at the beach over the weekend, the forecast is for showers! Monday, it's back to chemo again so I'll post again when I can. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I'll talk with you soon.

Happy Easter!

Good morning everyone, it's Good Friday today so I've just had hot cross buns for breakfast....yum! I made some Easter cards last weekend so here they are. The 2nd and 3rd card have used the Card Patterns Sketch 57. I don't have a lot of Easter stamps so decided to use some of the free clip art that I've been collecting and not using much. I'm not sure where I got these images from, but I mostly get my clip-art from the Dover Publications free samples or from The Graphics Fairy . I love the vintage images, hope you like them too!

Thanks for looking, hope you all have a Happy Easter, with lots of chocolate!
