Happy Mothers Day....a little late!

I hope all the Mothers out there in blogland had a wonderful Mothers Day on Sunday! My hubby took me out for breakfast and my girls and grandchildren came over with some lovely flowers and goodies after lunch, so I had a great day here!

This is the card I made for my daughter Joanne, I used a new stamp by Whimsy Stamps from the Wee Stamps range by Sylvia Zet, called Bird Swing, isn't it just so sweet! I coloured the image with Whispers Markers and a blending pen. The greeting is by Annabelle Stamps, DP by Kaisercraft and the turquoise layer is Bazzil cardstock, I used a Nestabilies die to cut out my image and greeting.

I'm entering this card for CAS-ual Fridays CFC52 Feathered Friends challenge. Hope you like it!

Mojo Monday Sketch 238

I liked this week's sketch from Mojo Monday and decided to play along!

The butterfly stamp is from Darkroom Door, I stamped it on watercolour paper and watercoloured it with Twinkling H2O's, then fussy cut it out. The swirly vine die is a new acquisition from Fancy That and the Design Papers are from Kaisercraft's Madame Boutique 6 1/2" and 6 1/2" pad. The greeting is by Stamp-It, rhinestones by Kaisercraft and also used Nestabilities dies and a Stampin' Up oval scallop punch.

Just a quick update on my chemo - I've hit the halfway mark of this course and had a CT scan last Monday, I get the results when I see my Oncologist this coming Monday. Keep your fingers crossed for me that the chemo is doing it's job!

Happy Easter!

Hi there, hope you are enjoying the Easter break with your families! I'll be heading down the coast tomorrow to visit my daughter and son-in-law at Torquay, but before we go we'll be going over to visit my other daughter, SIL and the grandkids to give them some Easter goodies!

Here's a couple of Easter cards I've made using more of the Kaisercraft Bubblegum Hills range.

I kind of got bogged down making this one for the grandkids, I wasn't quite sure how to make the banner look right, it sat on my desk half-finished for over a week or two, but I think it came out OK! I used some old Making Memories rub-ons for the letters, the banner is just some strips of PP and I used my Fiskars arrow squeeze punch to get the notch at the end. The grass is made from paper string, just stuck down random lengths and trimmed at the bottom. The Easter eggs are made with a balloon punch.

This was originally going to be for Annabelle Stamps Twine challenge, but I finished it way too late, LOL!

This next card uses Annabelle Stamps current Bling Sketch Challenge - lucky for me this challenge runs for two weeks, so I've made it in time!

Pretty simple card as I was running out of time, only stamp is the greeting (Stampin' Up - All Year Cheer)! The butterfly is a rub-on and I've used some lime Sprinkles from Annabelle Stamps for the bling.

What's Cooking!

Hi everyone! It looks like summer has not completely deserted us just yet, it's a glorious day here and getting warmer by the minute!

I had a little creative time yesterday so here's my card!

This week's theme at Annabelle Stamps is Say it With.....Chocolate! Mmm, my favourite food group! I went with a cooking theme as well as the colour chocolate for my card. I couldn't resist using this cute retro lady, one of the first clear stamps I ever bought, by Studio Astarte, a company now sadly no longer as it's owner Stacey Apeitos has passed away. The gingham and grid backgrounds are both stamps from Annabelle Stamps Background by Design 7 stamp set and the oven mitt and greeting are from Justrite Stampers What's Cookin' stamp set.

Other stuff used include Stampin' Up cardstock, some aqua velvet ric rac, Making Memories flower, SEI button, embroidery floss and the staples were coloured with a Copic Marker.

That's all folks! Enjoy your day!

Christmas Trees.

Hi again, I'm back onto my Christmas cards today.....time's running out!

I used a trees stamp from Annabelle Stamps Hooo Loves Christmas set and a greeting by Stampin' Up, both stamped in Versafine Vintage Sepia ink. The trees are stamped onto a scrap of Basic Grey patterned paper.

I'm entering this card for two challenges -
Annabelle Stamps ABSC044 bling sketch challenge using the sketch below and,
CC351 Colour Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers - Kraft, White and Pizazz (green)

Other stuff used:
Annabelle Stamps - Lime Sprinkles (bling)
Cuttlebug - Swiss Dots Embossing folder
Nestabilities - Circle dies.
Stampin' Up - Kraft cardstock and word window punch
Bazzil - green cardstock
Kaisercraft - 'Be Merry' 6 x 6 paper pad.
EK Success - corner punch
Other - white organza ribbon, brown velvet braid.

It's officially the first day of summer here today, but you certainly wouldn't think so! It's been quite cold all day, I might even have to use my electric blanket again tonight! It was only a few days ago we were sweltering, I wish the weather wasn't quite so changeable! Hope you're having a great day in your part of the world, thanks for your visit!

ps. I think I'm going to colour those baubles on the trees red, it really needs a splash of something bright don't you think?

Hi there! I really don't seem to be having a lot of creative time lately, just making the cards that I need to at the moment. This card is for my nephew's 18th birthday in a few days time.

I tried out a resist technique on glossy cardstock for my background. The stamp is a large birthday text by Hero Arts and I used a few different shades of Tim Holtz Distress Inks. The greeting is from a Stamp-It set and the martini glass is from a Fiskars clear stamp set. The Nestabilities die cut piece behind the numbers is made with some more Distress Inks and misted with Bronze Glimmer Mist. I painted some plain chipboard numbers with black acrylic paint, then gave them a thick coast of Dimensional Magic. Added a little bling with some Kaisercraft rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by today! It's very cold and wintry here today, I'll be glad when Spring arrives!

Where did the last three years go?

My sweet little grand-daughter had her third birthday yesterday, it hardly seems any time at all since she was just a baby! Time certainly does fly! She was full of excitement and now knows all about presents and birthday cake, and managed to blow out all her candles without help.....she is growing up!

Here's the card I made for her, the image is from Rachelle Anne Miller, called Lily - From the Heart. I coloured her with Copic Markers. The DP is by Kaisercraft.

I've entered my card in the following challenges - The Pink Elephant Inspiration Challenge TPE108 using the photo below. I used the colours for my card.

Annabelle Stamps challenge - Say it with.....Circles.

I hope you're not getting sick of all the cute cards, it's all I seem to be doing lately. Thanks for stopping by today!

Hi there.......remember me? I can't believe it's a whole month since I've posted anything here! I actually haven't even been in my craft room at all since I came back from my holidays, until now. I had to spring into action and make some birthday cards for my twin daughters, whose birthday is today - just call me 'Queen of the last minute'!

This is the card I made for Hayley, she is a big fan of pink!

I used a Forever Friends bear image and coloured it with Copic Markers, the greeting is by Stamp-It. The big flower is made with paper string using an old flower loom thing - not sure what the proper name is. My friend Sandie makes these and I figured out how to do them myself, but Sandie's look so much nicer than mine - I think the paper string I used is a little too bulky, but didn't really matter with this card as it will be hand delivered anyway. I put a smaller pink flower in the centre to hide my ugly knot!

I've entered this card in the fortnightly Forever Friends challenge - Birthdays.

Thanks for stopping by, at least I hope you all haven't given up on me yet! I'll try to visit some blogs over the next few days that I've also been sadly neglecting lately, and leave some long overdue comments!

More baby cards!

So sorry I've been MIA again! Thanks to all those who left comments on my last post on our loss of Daisy, it's been a difficult week. We are heading off to Torquay tomorrow to spend Easter at my daughter and son-in-law's home, so I'll be missing for a few days.

I made some more baby cards last week, just hadn't got around to posting them here. I made a boy version using the same sketch and Forever Friends bear stamp as the girl card from last week. The elephant stamp on the other two cards is from a Stampin' Up set.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you all have a Happy Easter. Stay safe on the roads if you are travelling to visit family like I am........and don't eat too many Easter eggs and Hot Cross buns!

Baby Girl Card.

I was going through my stash of cards a few days ago and noticed that I don't have many baby cards at the moment! Since I have a new grand-baby on the way I thought I'd better rectify that and make a few more! Here's a baby girl card......and no, I don't know what sex the baby is yet!

I used a Forever Friends bear stamp as my main image and coloured it with Copic Markers, then layered it onto a paper doily. The pink cardstock is Bazzil and the DP is by Heidi Grace. I used a Nestabilities Label ? (I forget what number it is and I'm too lazy to go look!) The sentiment is by Stampin' Up and I punched it out with the word window punch. I also added some pink satin ribbon and used my Bowmaker to tie the bow.

My card qualifies for the Forever Friends monthly challenge - A card for a girl. I also used this week's sketch from Card Patterns.

Thanks for stopping by today!

AnnaBelle Stamps - Say It With............a Tag!

Happy Friday to you all! This week has just flown by for me, it's been a very busy one too. I had yet another CT scan on Tuesday, and I think I must have picked up a bug while at the hospital as I had some sort of nasty virus on Wednesday and Thursday. Hopefully I'll have a better weekend, then it's back to see my Oncologist on Monday to get the results of my scan, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they haven't found any new cancer.

Anyway, enough about me and onto my card! This week's Friday challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps is 'Say it with.....a Tag!'

All of my stamps are from the ABS 'All Things Grow' set. For my backgrounds I've sponged on some Distress Inks and then stamped over them. My tag is cut using a Cuttlebug Tiny Tags die. I've used this week's sketch 182 from Mojo Monday for my layout.

Supplies used:
AnnaBelle Stamps products: 'All Things Grow' stamps, green and white striped ribbon.
Basic Grey Blush patterned paper.
Stampin' Up 'Not quite Navy' cardstock.
Tim Holtz Distress Inks - various colours.
Versafine Black Onyx ink.
Nestabilities - Circle and Blossom dies.
Other - button, green paper cord.

Dont forget to check out the Design Team's gorgeous projects, you'll find their links on the ABS blog. If you'd like to play along, just enter your link on the ABS blog.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Andrea for the opportunity to be a guest designer on the AnnaBelle Stamps blog for this month, today's post is my last one. Thanks also to the ABS design team for all your support too! I've thoroughly enjoyed the last month, especially being a part of the new release stamps!

AnnaBelle Stamps - Say It With............Love!

Hi there, I'm back with another card for Annabelle Stamps weekly challenge! I've used the tulip again from the 'Easter Hope' February release set as my main image, this time I've used Copic Markers to colour it. I also cut around the image and popped it up on dimensional foam. The other stamps I used are from the 'Hooo Loves Christmas' set. I used the theme to create one of those all-purpose generic cards suitable for lots of occasions. You could use this card for a birthday card, anniversary, valentine, thinking of you etc.

I used a Labels Nestability die and sponged some Soft Peach chalk ink on the larger one, and used some Kaisercraft DP for the smaller one. I used Stampin' Up's word window punch to punch out the greeting, lots of the AnnaBelle Stamps sentiments fit inside the SU word window punch which is really handy!

Other supplies:
Fiskars Water Threading punch.
Bazzil cardstock.
Pedigree Paper white cardstock.
White grosgrain ribbon, 3mm green satin ribbon.

I'd love to see you join in this week's challenge, you don't need to have AnnaBelle Stamps to join in, but if you have them we'd love to see you use them! If you would like to purchase some, Annabelle Stamps is having a big March Madness Sale for the whole of March, so do yourself a favour and go and check them out! You can see the stamps HERE. Don't forget to check out the Design Team blogs for more inspiration for this weeks' challenge, you will find their links on the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog!

Happy Anniversary!

Good morning everyone! Today is my daughter and son-in-law's wedding anniversary, and it also happens to be my birthday.......shh, don't tell anyone! Here's the card I made for them both, I have used sketch FTL129 from the Clean & Simple Stamping blog. My card is not so CAS though, I wanted to use the Kaisercraft 'After Five' papers, so I've added a few extra layers to my card. The damask stamp behind the sentiment is also from the Kaisercraft 'After Five' stamp set. The sentiment is made up from 2 different stamps, I used the 'Anniversary' from a Fire Cracker Designs set and the 'Happy' is from a Vicki Enkoff 'Happy Birthday' stamp.

The blingy butterfly and the black label die-cut are cut from a pad of glitter sheets by Craft Bug, I found this at Lincraft a little while ago and promptly forgot I had it! The sheets aren't too thick so I could use my Martha Stewart butterfly punch without too much trouble.

Supplies:
Stampin' Up Basic Grey cardstock, Pedigree Paper black and silver cardstock.
Kaisercraft 'After Five' 6 x 6 Paper Pad and stamp set.
Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch and Border Punch.
Nestabilities Labels dies.
Craft Bug glitter sheets.
Annabelle Stamps Sprinkles (bling)
Ribbon and sparkly thread from my stash.

We had a family celebration for our birthday/anniversary on Saturday night and my husband is also taking me out for dinner tonight for my birthday.....I feel very spoiled!

Hope you are having a wonderful day too!

Mellow Yellow!

Hi everyone, today's card is for AnnaBelle Stamps 'Say it in....Yellow' Challenge, and just for a second challenge, I also used AnnaBelle Stamps ABS034 Sketch.

I have to admit this was way outside my comfort zone to even use yellow.....it has to be my least used colour, I have a real aversion to it! I was surprised that I even had some yellow DP, but I found some in a pack of mixed Heidi Grace papers that I got from a Fiskars clearance sale a while ago. I thought that grey would make a nice combination with yellow, so used some Stampin' Up Basic Grey cardstock for my background and for the Nestabilities die-cut flower blossom and label. My stamps are from the AnnaBelle Stamps 'Helen's Party' set, I used Copic Markers to colour the cake and used a clear Spica glitter pen on the frosting.

I also used some Stampin' Up yellow grosgrain ribbon and some unknown pale grey satin ribbon along with some Kaisercraft rhinestones.

That's it for today, I need to get off this computer now. For some unknown reason my DH took my reading glasses with him to work today.....very inconvenient of him! I'm having to use my multi-focals which make me look at the screen at an odd angle, I'll end up with a sore neck if I stay here much longer!

Hope you're having a great day!

Chocolatey goodness!

Hi there! Today's card is a two-fer challenge. The first challenge is for Annabelle Stamps 'Say it in......Chocolate, Blue and Pink', the 2nd challenge is using the sketch below from Clean & Simple Stamping 126.

Talk about suffering for my art, I HAD to eat lots of chocolate to make this card, LOL! My flower is made from recycled chocolate wrappers, I thought the printed pattern on them was too pretty to throw out. I cut the wrappers out with 3 different sized dies from the Nestabilities Blossoms set and attached them to a Lacey circles die cut with a large brad.

Supplies used: Stampin' Up cardstock and inks.
Stamps - Darkroom Door Floral background stamp, Hero Arts outline heart, Stamp-It sentiment.
Ribbon and brad from my stash, Carl corner rounder punch.
Chocolate by Cadbury!

Hope you are having a great day, thanks for visiting!

Flowers For You!

Today is Australia Day here, so 'Happy Australia Day' to all of my fellow Aussies! Since we're celebrating all things Australian today I've joined in the challenge from Aussie blog AnnaBelle Stamps :- Say It With - Emboss Resist, and I've also used Annabelle Stamps for my card.

I used the tiny flower stamps from Annabelle Stamps 'Helen's Party' set for my emboss resist background. I stamped them with Versamark ink on white cardstock and clear embossed them, then sponged Broken China Distress Ink all over the background.

For my main image, I used the cute 'Lil Molly' from Annabelle Stamps 'Lil Molly's Flowers' set, I also used the sentiment from the same set. I coloured Lil Molly with Copic Markers and cut her out with a Nestabilities Oval die, layered her onto another Nestabilities die. I used the Stampin' Up word window punch for the sentiment. Also used Kaisercraft rhinestones, ribbon and cord, blue cardstock from Pedigree Papers and retired Close to Cocoa from Stampin' Up.

I've also entered this card for Inky Impressions - Emboss It challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today!
