This card was for a challenge to do a monochromatic card over on The Scrappers Stash forum. I did a heap of these Twinkling H2O backgrounds ages ago, and the colours went quite well with the Bazzill colours that I chose.
To do the background I used a smooth watercolour paper and just gave it a wet wash with 2 or 3 Twinkling H2O watercolours - I'm not quite sure which colours I used........ I did have a little post-it on the back of each sheet with the info, but it had come off. The smooth watercolour paper gives a good impression of the stamped image.
I didn't have any ribbon in the right shade, so I've just used an off-cut from the watercoloured paper and put it on a strip of Bazzill.
The tiger stamp is by Art Neko from The Year of the Tiger sheet.
Have a great day!
Materials used:
Stamp - Art Neko unmounted.
Watercolour paper - 190gsm smooth.
Ink - Versafine Black.
Twinkling H2O's - not sure but I think I used Persimmon and possibly Dreamsicle.
Bazzill card - Casa and Arizona.
Buttons - from a vintage selection
Metal 'birthday' word - from a $2 shop.
