Manly cards.

The background for this card was a Technique Junkie tech. that I've forgotten the name of, but it involves Adirondack re-inkers and glossy cardstock! I didn't really like how it turned out so hadn't used it, but after putting it through a Cuttlebug embossing folder it came up allright for a masculine card.

Supplies used: SU Kraft cardstock, unknown brand burgundy paper, MM bronze coloured staples, MM Rummage White Alphabet rub-ons (for the number 60), green grosgrain and burgundy polka dot ribbon.

Stamps used: October Afternoon (row of stars), Inque Boutique (larger stars), and Wendy Irving Clear Expressions greeting.

I made this one for my brother's birthday, he's 2 years younger than me and takes delight in giving me funny age related cards, so when I discovered these Darkroom Door Robot Photochips I thought this one with a shocked look on his face was perfect to go with the sentiments!

The 'How old' sentiment is a Penny Black stamp and the other one is from a Darkroom Door Wordstrip (they match the Robot Photochips). I thought the copper coloured eyelets went well with the robot too!

I didn't realise until I uploaded these 2 cards that I'd chosen the same colour scheme for both of them........I actually made them a few days apart and didn't realise I'd done that!

Thanks for dropping by again today! I'm trying to get back into some regular posting, but I don't have as much time these days.....there just aren't enough hours in the day sometimes!

Both cards are great! It's always nice to see ideas for masculine cards... they seem to be the most challenging for me. The robot is too funny!
