Inkurable Stampers Cyberparty.

Last weekend was Inkurable Stampers 2nd birthday cyberparty. I spent the weekend away so missed all the chat, fun and games over there, but we had until Wednesday night to complete 3 challenges. I did manage to do all 3 challenges yesterday, yay!

The first challenge was a sketch challenge from a Pagemaps sketch. Since I didn't have a lot of time, I delved into my stash of painted backgrounds and home-made designer paper. I started with an olive coloured folded card, added a background piece of watercolour paper painted with a couple of green shades of Twinkling H2O's, I also pricked around the borders of this piece. I cut some Cuttlebug scalloped squares out of an orange Twinkling H2O's piece of watercoloured paper and some from some home-made designer paper - I randomly stamped some shadow stamps and nature images using different coloured inks over some white cardstock. I stamped the Heidi Grace word stamp onto the orange scallop and a Kaisercraft flower onto the other 2 scallops. I used a stamp from the Stampin' Up Pocket Silhouettes set for my main piece, stamped onto SU Old Olive cardstock and added a row of Kaisercraft rhinestones along the bottom.

The 2nd challenge was to create a stamped piece of art 2 x 4 inches. I made a little hanger for my project. I'm sorry I don't know who makes the stamp I used, I bought it off ebay as an unidentified unmounted stamp - if anyone knows who makes it please let me know! I started with a piece of white cardstock and sponged it with Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink, then I stamped the art doll image using black Versafine ink. I trimmed the image to 2 x 4 inches then sponged the edges with TH Tea Dye Distress Ink and TH Black Soot Distress Ink. I highlighted parts of the wings with a white Signo gel pen and also used it for the striped socks. Added 2 black eyelets at the top and threaded some red fibre through to hang it.

Edited: Kathi let me know that the Art Doll image is by Lost Coast Designs.....thanks Kathi!

The 3rd challenge was to use the spotlighting technique on your project. I started with SU Old Olive cardstock for my card base. My red background piece is similar to what I used for my anniversary card in my last post, using Tim Holtz Fired Brick Distress Ink and Tattered Angels Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist, but I also added some Tattered Angels Bronze Glimmer Mist to this one. I used a stamp from the Stampin' Up Oh so Lovely set for my main image and used Prismacolour Pencils and Gamsol Tech for the spotlighted circle. I used a Kelly Panacci border stamp on the top and bottom of the background piece and added some black and white organza polka dot ribbon and a black button tied with olive embroidery thread. The red background is adhered to black cardstock and then adhered to the Old Olive card.

Whew, that's it! Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day!

Wow. Those are all wonderful. I really love the border on the red one. BTW, I *think* that might be a Lost Coast image.
