Anyone for a cupcake?

This is a card I made for a challenge on the Hero Arts block last week. The challenge was to use circles on your card.

I used my Nestabilities circles and scalloped circles dies for this. I layered the cupcake circle and scalloped circle onto foam dimensional dots to add a bit of depth to the card. The design paper is a double sided one by All My Memories - Sassy Design. The stamp is a Hero Arts clear stamp - I've coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils using the Gamsol Magic tech. I've added KindyGlitz to the frosting and flower, and a few Kaiser gems. The word is done with Making Memories rub-ons. I probably could've added a smaller circle with '16' on it for a Sweet 16 card, but I don't know anyone turning 16, so I didn't!

I used a Fiskars template with a scalloped edge to do the top and bottom edges of my patterned paper. I have a real love-hate thing with my Fiskars cutter, but I managed to cut my paper without any tearing! Yay! I inked the edges of the 2 rectangle pieces with Versafine Vintage Sepia ink. The white card is a nice textured card from Pedigree Paper (Aussie company), although you probably can't see the texture in the photo unless you click for a larger view.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

oh it's a lovely card Lyn! I have the orange templates and the cutter too- have never ventured to use it for the scalloped edging like you did! You did so well! Great effects
