OSA Sketch Layout #19 and Theme Challenge.

I made these 2 cards last night for this week's OSA Sketch Layout #19 and the Theme Challenge, which was "Tea".

I just used up some stamped images that I had done previously and some other bits and pieces.

The 1st card is the Sketch Challenge. The butterfly is stamped in black, embossed with holographic embossing powder, then coloured with Twinkling H2O's. The background around the butterfly is sponged chalk, the butterfly haiku is computer generated. The main background piece is a bit hard to see, but it is a reverse stencil technique using a plant leaf from the garden and coloured spray on watercolour paper.

I used a Stonehouse Stamp of a geisha drinking tea for the Tea Challenge card, I coloured this with Prismacolor Pencils, Odorless Mineral Spirit and paper stumps to blend. I edged around the image with Tim Holtz Antique Linen ink. Added some strips of washi paper to the top and bottom of the card. The cardstock is all by Stampin' Up.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend! I went to the Melbourne Picture to Page Scrapbooking Show this morning........and picked up lots of new goodies, yay!

Great job with both cards! Love the angled sentiment and the shading you did on the Geisha!
