I used up some pieces I had lying around for this card. The stamped piece had been in my box of pre-stamped images for a while. The background is made using Hero Arts Aged Background Block stamp, using Hero Arts Shadow Ink in a green shade (cant quite remember which shade of green I used) and the leafy stamp is from See-D's Silhouettes set, using black Versafine ink. I've also added a birthday greeting by Wendy Irving Expressions (clear stamp). I distressed around the edges of the finished piece, then layered it onto a burgundy layer.
For the rest of the card I started with a leftover piece of blue handmade paper that I used for my butterfly card, I distressed around the edges, then did 2 rows of stitching onto a larger piece of burgundy card with my trusty sewing machine. I haven't done a lot of sewing on my cards, but I do like the effect produced! I must say though, that not sewing in a straight line goes totally against all the years that I spent sewing clothes and trying to keep a straight line! I added a spiral clip and ribbon to the stamped piece and layered it on top of the blue stitched piece and the whole lot onto a folded white card.
I like how this card turned out.............hope you do too!

your new card turned out great Lyn. I like the colour combos' and yes certainly the wavy stitching does something for it - rather than straight; adds some movement. This card could equally be given to male or female I'm sure.
Thank you for the comment on my card and take a look at yours. I love it. Have a great week Lyn
Looks great Lyn.........not long til Picture 2 Page now.........luv Sandie
